I don’t think 5/5 stars even begins to do this Airbnb justice. This is the best stay we have ever had!! From the time we booked, the hosts were so helpful and kind. Danny organized our transportation to and from the airport, helped us book a catamaran tour, and even made us dinner reservations at all the the restaurants we wanted to try in town. He even helped carry our bags to the Airbnb and organized a lovely breakfast for us as well. We were in town for our honeymoon, and this experience has been one of the highlights of our trip. Excellent service and experience!The house is absolutely gorgeous and clean as well. Staying here is a no- brainer, you will love it!!!Side note: The town of Pyrgos is bit more quaint than Oía and Fira which we ended up preferring. There are great restaurants and transportation options to visit other parts of Santorini as well. Danny and Andrew are super helpful about making your stay great!

Absolutely gorgeous accommodation with the most amazing views.Loved the location, it had plenty restaurants around- yet very peaceful and private. The most comfortable bed and sheets, amazing bathroom, tasty coffee, free bottle water and the list goes on. Exactly what I imagined when I thought of Santorini, would highly recommend 🫶🏻

Notre séjour chez Andrew était incroyable. Le logement est fidèle aux commentaires et aux photos. Nous avons appréciés la magnifique salle d'eau et le lit très confortable. Le petit village de Pyrgos ou est situé le logement est magnifique avec ses maisons blanches et ses petites ruelles. Pyrgos est situé au centre de l'ile donc idéal pour les visites. Pour finir, les hôtes ont été à nos petits soins tous le séjour et très réactif.Je recommande ce logement à 100 %, les yeux fermés.

Truly a luxury five-star experience! Andrew and Danny treated us like VIPs from the moment we booked until the moment we left for the airport with a private driver they helped arrange for us.The cave house is even better in person than in the pictures! It had everything we could possibly need or want and was in pristine condition. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Everything works like new, including the hot tub (that we did not use but really appreciated having).We were treated to a complimentary private transfer from the airport to this beautiful village of Pyrgos. Then, on our first morning there, we received a complimentary breakfast delivered to our door. Danny made reservations for restaurants and private transfers, and helped us with our bags upon arrival and departure. Both Andrew and Danny were proactive and available at every moment! It was not expected but very much appreciated!We will definitely stay at the cave house again!

An absolutely wonderful stay. The cave is beautiful, comfortable and in a very cool location, with lots of restaurants around. Danny helped us with recommendations, booking excursions and carrying our bags up and down the many stairs. I absolutely recommend staying here for a unique experience of Santorini.

WOW! What an amazing place Wow what an amazing place! I feel reluctant to share this place, but share it we must, as Andrew and Danny are simply the most wonderful hosts and Demeter Cave is a magical little house! From start to finish, the communication was outstanding. There is an app you can sign in to that gives you everything you need to know about the house and the area, plus Andrew and Danny are on hand for any advice, bookings, random bits of information you might need. That is if you even need to leave Demeter Cave, which was difficult! Merely steps away are amazing restaurants, views to die for, and bustling village life to throw yourself into, or simply sit in the jacuzzi and unravel! We WILL be back and I can't thank Andrew and Danny enough for really exceeding our expectations.

This is without question the best AirBnB experience we have had - from initial arrival on the island to departure. Danny (and Andrew) could not be more helpful and accommodating. The cave house is an incredible location and space. We had the best time.

From scheduling all of our rides to restaurant recommendations and reservations we really couldn’t have asked for more and all with a smile. Demeter Cave house was an amazing find! It truly lived up to its reviews and online photos. What isn't immediatley obvious from is the exceptional service provided by the hosts. Upon arrival we were meet in town, helped with our luggage and escorted to the property. We were given a tour of the facilities at Demeter Cave House, and given a helpful overview of the local area and recommended eateries. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Pyrgos, surrounded by picturesque streets, nestled between resturants and cafes. We only needed to ventured out one day to explore the south of the island on a quad bike which was great to see the sights we'd admired from afar from the resturants. The roof terrace was perfect for sunbathing, and the courtyard provided a relaxing space to chill in the evenings playing cards with a cool drink and taking an evening dip in the jacuzzi. We will definitely return.

We had a fantastic stay at Demeter cave house. Danny and Andrew were responsive and proactive with lots of good recommendations and help. The location for perfect to see the sights of Pyrgos and the house wonderfully charming, clean and well stocked with all the amenities you would need - we would highly recommend to anyone!

This is the most lovely Airbnb in all senses. It's in a great location on Santorini, in the lovely village of Pyrgos, and in the nicest part of the village with fantastic views. Danny and Andrew have thought of everything in the cave house and I really appreciated the lovely local wine and that there was bottled water. The bed was super comfy, the bathroom and hot tub and little courtyard just so beautiful. The breakfast on the first morning was delicious, and Danny kindly organised the transfer from the airport, which made it super easy. He was then on hand for anything I needed, lots of good recommendations, and booked anything I wanted to do, including the return transfer. It was a brief but really wonderful stay and I would recommend it 100%. Thank you Danny and Andrew - great hosts and fantastic home.

Beautiful place that matched the description and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a traditional Santorini experience. Hosts provided excellent local recommendations and were super accommodating to our early flight onto the island. We can’t recommend this choice enough!

Our stay at Demeter Cave was absolutely perfect,truly a 10/10 experience.
From the moment we arrived, Danny went above and beyond. He arranged a complimentary airport transfer and was there waiting for us when we arrived. He carried our bags and welcomed us with a chilled bottle of bubbly already waiting in the fridge: a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the rest of the trip.
The cave itself exceeded all expectations. Even though the photos were beautiful, they didn’t capture how peaceful, private, and serene the space truly is. It was a quiet sanctuary- ideal for unwinding and soaking in the magic of the island.
Our first morning, we were treated to a delicious complimentary breakfast, and just when we thought it couldn't get any better, it did.
Danny was the perfect host. He helped with everything from restaurant reservations and local recommendations to organising an incredible boat trip around the island. Every detail was taken care of.

loved our stay in santorini, the town was secluded enough but still close to all the best attractions. our little cave was perfect, they even arranged private transfers to and from the airport along with recommendations that helped make our trip easy and enjoyable.

One of our all-time favorite Airbnb stays! This was our first trip to Santorini, and we couldn’t be happier that we chose to stay in Pyrgos. While Fira and Oia were packed with tourists, Pyrgos offered the perfect contrast—peaceful, charming, and relaxed, which suited us perfectly.
Demeter Cave House was a dream. It felt like our own private sanctuary—quiet, cozy, and the ideal place to unwind and get truly restful sleep. The location was fantastic, with many spots within walking distance, including our favorite restaurant, Penelope’s. If you go, please try their Briam (Greek ratatouille)—it was easily one of the best meals we’ve ever had. And don’t miss the sunset from there—it’s absolutely magical.
Danny and Andrew were incredible hosts. From helping with our luggage to greeting us with chilled water and a bottle of wine, they made us feel genuinely welcomed.
You will absolutely fall in love with this place—we sure did.

La Demeter Cave House à Pyrgos était tout simplement parfaite, comme dans un rêve! Très bien situé, dans un endroit calme et charmant, avec une décoration vraiment magnifique et soignée. Très bien équipée, tout était pensé pour notre confort. Andrew a été plus que parfait, extrêmement gentil et arrangeant, toujours disponible et très attentionné. Il a même offert un petit déjeuner la première nuit, qui était délicieux et vraiment copieux. Nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous. Je recommande ce logement sans hésiter !

Staying in Pyrgos was a great idea! Lovely scenery, lots of good restaurants and much more laid back than Fira. The only downside is the bus system does not work as well as if you were staying in Fira, but Andrew and Danny were great at arranging a paid taxi service. Definitely would stay again!

We absolutely love the Cave House! It was the perfect location with easy access to the beach, wonderful restaurants and wineries. We arrived late and they picked us up and carried all of our bags for check in. We loved the breakfast and massage our first morning. Everything was so special and memorable. Andrew was amazing and the best host. Also, the bed was so incredibly comfortable!! We can’t wait to come back and stay again. Thank you for a lovely holiday!!

If I could give him 10/10 I absolutely would, by far the best Airbnb experience ever with Andrew. Not only did he support with coordination of breakfast, transportation and activities, he went the extra mile to provide a clean space with pristine linens, bathroom, and kitchen, all essentials available. Demeter’s cave was exceptional from design, to comfort, to sunset views from the terrace to the privacy of a warm jacuzzi. Staying in Pyrgos was the perfect choice with accessible bus routes, great restaurants for breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts and wine, and peaceful safety without feeling crowded. Our stay consisted of cozy walks down the cobblestone streets, a trip to busy Oia, and the perfect sunset catamaran. Andrew greeted us upon arrival, prepping the jacuzzi and AC, and even helped escort us for checkout! Hoping to come back one day and just enjoy the Cave! Highly recommended!

Demeter Cave is an exquisite little gem in the heart of Pyrgos and we enjoyed the easiness of getting around by bus or on foot without battling thousands of other tourists. Just like all the other reviews Andrew is literally incredible. We were obsessed with him and his place from the jump. He helped check us in and out. Was always so quick to respond when we had questions and lots of recommendations. The cave house is so spectacular. We never wanted to leave. It was squeaky clean and exceeded expectations. My husband has stayed in many expensive resorts and he was floored by the detail that Andrew put into the place. Andrew is super special and has created such a beautiful space for people to enjoy Santorini. Pyrgos is perfectly situated and has so many fabulous restaurants within walking distance. I can't say enough how amazing the experience was. We would come back a million times. THANK YOU ANDREW!!

Our stay was excellent from the initial welcome to checkout, ample amount of communication and had maid visit as we needed providing new bed sheets, fresh towels and water. The accommodation was just as pictured and had everything we needed and more. The breakfast delivered was lovely and good option to have. The location of property very good especially for exploring other parts of island as it was fairly central and was nice to be away from crowds.
It was overall and excellent experience staying here and Andrew was good host!

Truly knockout place and Andrew is the warmest host whose recommendations were spot on. Stay here. You won’t find better in Santorini. It’s like staying in a unique boutique hotel. There’s a double shower, luxurious linens, the most comfortable sun loungers on a huge terrace overlooking the domes and church bells of Pyrgos and a completely private hot tub. But the highlight was the extra attention Andrew provided. A gorgeous bottle of wine, loads of bottled water, a huge delicious breakfast, bookings at the best restaurants… really Andrew you couldn’t have done more. It was a pleasure staying at your pad and you made our trip to Santorini even better than it would have been.

We can’t thank Andrew enough- from arranging transport from the airport to complimentary breakfast delivered to us unexpectedly and without us asking. The accommodation is as special as the photos suggest and so well thought through. Authentically Greek and so comfortable with all amenities you require. Would absolutely recommend as the perfect place to stay, quieter than Oia and Fira and close enough to sample their delights and come back again. Sampled only one local restaurants in Pyrgos, Cava Alta, while we were here, food delicious, setting perfect and price reasonable. Only sadness for us is we aren’t here longer. We stayed in Demeter Cave House for 3 nights. It is such a beautiful place, tastefully decorated throughout. Outside area (Roof terrace and the courtyard) are lovely and we enjoyed having breakfast and a home-cooked dinner there. Pyrgos village is great to wander around, and we were glad we decided to stay there instead of more touristy towns. Last but not least Andrew has great hospitality. He was always responsive, gave us recommendations and checking in on us if we needed anything at the house.
